Hi, everyone! Guess what? I’m in Japan now! ![]()
I just had a performance in Tokyo. It was a private concert
at Japan Times in Nifco Company. It was so exciting!
From my grandparents’ house, I rode the train for about an hour, then I arrived to
Tamachi Station. I was picked up from the Japan Times’ driver.
The car was really cool.
It had a massage chair, lace curtains on the windows, and dvd, cd and tv players.
After a smooth ride in the car, we got to the Nifco building where Japan Times is.
We met Mr. Ogasawara, the chairman of the company.

He asked me which one I want to do first, either perform or have lunch. I said, lunch! ![]()
The lunch was traditional Japanese food and really good.
We had homemade tofu, beans, fish, tempura, rice, miso soup, vegetables, and melon.
It was sooooooo good!
Mr. Ogasawara called the writers and camera men from the Japan Times after lunch, and they waited for us in the piano room while I got in
my blue performance dress.
Before I played, I had pictures taken with Mr. Ogasawara. I introduced myself in Japanese. In case you don’t know, I speak Japanese. ![]()

I played Chopin Etude Op10 No4 and 5, Chopin Fantasy – Impromptu, Liszt Waldesrauschen, Ponce Intermezzo, Chopin Scherzo No1, Liszt La Campanella, Mendelssohn Spinning Song.
It was fun!
The camera man took some more pictures for the newspapers after I played.
After everyone left, Mr. Ogasawara kindly told me that I could practice on his piano, so I did some practicing,
and then we headed home. It was such a wonderful day. Thank you so much, Mr. Ogasawara, for having me!
My arcticle is going to go on the Japan Times newspaper this weekend. This trip and concert was so fun and exciting!
